This home in Norwalk, CT had a roof that did not match the sidings of the home to the liking of the homeowners. They wanted something that would pop out the yellow of the sidings more properly. As the project manager headed down there to give them an estimate, he came to realize that the color of the roof was not the only problem, there were curvatures in the roof that allowed for it to hold water in different places and would eventually cause damage. The homeowners were happy with Weathertite's work, check out the before and after photos.
This homeowner had an extreme leakage issue. With a many different layers in his roof, from flat to an angle, this roof needed definite work. Weathertite did a careful inspection on this home to find the true issue. The material was not suitable for this home style and it did not have a breathing system. The biggest problem with this roof was that it was flat and kept holding water. We installed Ployiso tampered system with Epdem Rubber. This allowed for it to drain properly and did not hold the water in different areas causing leakage to not be a problem anymore. Weathertite Systems replaced the skylights as well. To finish this job 100%, we included new G and R Western Red Perfection Cedar Shingles for the roofs with a new Obdyke Cedar Breather Underlayment.
