CertainTeed Quality Master®
Successfully passed the Certainteed Shingle Technology test demonstrating
a thorough knowledge of the difference between high-quality and mediocre
asphalt shingles. The Shingle Technology test is a challenging series
of questions on current manufacturing technology and related subjects,
discussing complex shingle technology and quality. This program provides
a comprehensive overview of asphalt shingles, from product components
and design features, to price considerations and warranty provisions.
CertainTeed Master Shingle Applicator®
Successfully passed the Master Shingle Applicator®
test based on the CertainTeed Applicator's Manual. This publication discusses
the complex requirements and recommendations for the installation of a
high quality shingle roof system. Re-testing is required every two
years. Topics covered include the specific installation instructions
for CertainTeed shingles, workmanship, estimating, roof ventilation, shingle
underlayment, flashing specifications and repairs.
CertainTeed Master Shingle Applicator®
Wizard
This rare and prestigious certification is awarded by passing the CertainTeed
Master Shingle Applicator® test and the very challenging Wizard test
on the first try. The Wizard test is optional. It is therefore only attempted
by a small group of dedicated individuals.
